Alec Newman has spent the last ten years working as a typesetter and book designer for various Arts Council England funded organisations, mostly The Knives Forks and Spoons Press, and Streetcake. He has designed public art poetry exhibits for the Blackpool Illuminations. Books that he has typeset and designed have been shortlisted by the British Library for the Michael Marks Prize, highly commended in the Forward Prizes, and reviewed in the Poetry Book Society and Poetry Review. They have also been reviewed in the national newspapers.
